“American Idol” isn’t the only new project Mariah Carey is taking on these days. The singer and mother of “dem babies” Roc and Roe is getting set to launch two nail polish lines in collaboration with OPI.
“With her magnetic personality both on and off the stage, Mariah serves as a great inspiration for beautiful, bold colors,”the company said in a statement.
The first line is set to launch in January and will no doubt benefit from Carey’s debut on the FOX reality competition that also debuts during the same month. No word on when the second installment will hit salons.
She’s hardly the first celebrity to collaborate on a nail polish line, though. It’s almost a given these days: Get famous, gain a bunch of fans and then launch a nail polish line.
