The National Association of Broadcasters announced today the finalists for the 2012 NAB Marconi Radio Awards honoring radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting. The winners will be announced on September 20 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show <http://www.radioshowweb.com/2012/specialEvents/marconi.asp> , held during the 2012 Radio Show at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX.
Tom Joyner, host of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, with the weekly radio and app reach of over 8 million listeners in over 105 markets, was nominated for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year for 2012. He previously won the NAB Marconi Award in 2004. He continues his commitment to his audience on a daily basis, with his “Party with a Purpose.” With a daily mix of entertainment, humor, information and music, Joyner empowers his audience with his initiatives related to Get out the Vote, Take a Loved One to the Dr. Day (health and wellness), and The Tom Joyner Foundation (supporting students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities).
