Last night, former Private Practice” star Audra McDonald looked stunning in electric blue at the The Jewish Community Center in Manhattan as she won the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical.
Audra’s much-talked about Broadway performance as Bess in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess landed her a fifth Tony Award to add to her collection. She also has two Grammys.
Backstage, she posed with other winners James Corden, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for One Man, Two Guvnors, Nina Arianda, Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for Venus in Fur, and Steve Kazee, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for Once.
