Indiana Organ Procurement Organization (IOPO) Run Walk

Due to the high rates of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, African Americans have an increased risk of developing kidneyfailure and requiring a transplan. As of January 2012, there were (362) African-Americans awaiting a kidney transplant in Indiana. 90% of the WTLC AM audience and 79% of the WTLC FM audience is African-American. Rewards of aligning WTLC AM and FM audience with the event has advatage of reaching this audience and gaining their trust and encouraging organ donation.
