Respect his need to have his space
The very first thing you have to do is stop being selfish and suspicious and respect the fact that he needs his personal space. If you do this, you will find it easier to understand him and anticipate his needs even before he can ask you! Once he realizes in turn that you understand his need, he will relax.
He needs to go out once in a while with his buddies
You really can’t expect him to sit around with you day in and day out. Men need to meet their buddies and do “guy things” once in a while! The fact that you trust him to let him have time alone with his friends would mean a lot to him and he will go out of his way to stay worthy of this trust.
Don’t be inquisitive – he’ll tell you what you need to know
It’s all very well letting him go out once in a blue moon but how readily or willingly are you letting him have his space? Do you sulk till he tells you every detail of his time out with his friends? Are you nosy and inquisitive so that he feels forced to come clean? Don’t take the joy out of his time out. Trust him and he will let you know everything in time.
He needs you to trust him on this
Most times men insist on having their space just to prove to the world that he is still the head of the house and can have his space any time he wants it! The fact that women are so reluctant to let their man go – even for that little time – makes him all the more stubborn about it. He needs to know that you trust him basically and is content only when he gets that trust from you.
He needs as much time alone as you do
If you are completely honest with yourself, you will admit that you need some time alone too. There are some typical “girly” things like shopping sprees and makeovers etc that can only be truly enjoyed and shared with your closest girl friends.
He will appreciate and love you all the more if he has his space
The quicker you realize that he will love and appreciate you even more if you did not invade his space, the chances of having a successful relationship are doubled.
