Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow and pop sensation Britney Spears have walk through the corridors of William McKinley High, but Nene will be the very first reality star to ever appear on the show.
The show’s lead actress Lea Michele, who is a self-confessed Housewives fan, said she was over the moon to have Nene on the show.
‘We found out that her real name was Linnethia… which I am obsessed with now,’ she told Andy Cohen earlier this week.
‘She’s awesome. She plays the new swim coach… We literally raided her trailer.’
According to reports, Leakes will star in two episodes, including the Grease and Michael Jackson-themed episodes, both set to air next year.
Nene shared her excitement about the role on Twitter earlier this week.
‘The secret is out! YES I have a recurring role on GLEE! I’m coach Roz Washington the synchronized swim coach! So honored,’ she wrote.
‘Running through the house screaming Gleeeeee! Coach Roz Washington is gonna get that Sue Sylvester! I’m so proud of myself.
